Amanda Liu

Amanda is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at UC Davis. Alongside her major, she plans to obtain a minor in Sexuality Studies to broaden her understanding of the diverse healthcare needs of various populations. Amanda is deeply invested in the field of medicine, particularly in how novel treatments and research in diabetes can improve patient outcomes. Originally from San Jose, California, Amanda enjoys spending her free time reading and playing strategy games.

Junkai Xiang

Junkai is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior at UC Davis. He is interested in learning and researching the causal genes in diabetes. In his free time, he enjoys reading books and watching anime.

 

 

 

Lusineh Manasyan 

Lusineh is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and minoring in linguistics. She has a keen interest in investigating metabolic disorders including diabetes, with a goal to understand the intricate mechanisms of life on the molecular level. In her free time, Lusineh likes to read, swing dance, and bullet journal.

 

 

Dennis To

Dennis is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. He has a strong interest in understanding the genetic components that heighten susceptibility and predispose individuals to diabetes. Aspiring to be a dentist, Dennis aims to delve deeper into the impact of diabetes on oral health, adopting a holistic approach that emphasizes systemic health as much as oral well-being. In his free time, he enjoys exploring new restaurants and sampling foods in Davis and its surrounding areas.
